Mike,

RE:You crack me up. This is exactly why MS dominates the hobby computer field. People like you don't understand that a computer isn't suppose to crash all the time. If you get a chance to use a computer that doesn't run MS OS you might be surprised on how a computer is suppose to work.

Here is an article explaining why PC's crash. It is a long article without pictures and it is technical in nature so I doubt you will understand it: byte.com

Suffice it to say MSFT was targeting a vast consumer audiance with low cost software. SUNW is targeting businesses with mission critical operations and high cost software. That is why SUNW OS is more reliable, but much higher cost, and much less software is written for it. Watch for the transition in WIndows NT as it is targeted to businesses.

RE:OS2 and MAC was superior to MS but as the old Beta VHS theory goes the best product doesn't always win in certain market conditions.

Oh sure Mike, the OS/2 was rejected by the consumers and the PC vendors. IBM was lost in space.

As for the MAC, here is a quote from Byte Mag: "It's true that NT is more crash-resistant than Windows 95, a smaller OS that's been around a lot longer. And both crash less often than the Mac OS, which is older still."

MAC is more prone to crashes than Win95 or WINDOZE NT.
