PSFT--PeopleSoft names Castino as CFO PLEASANTON, California, Dec 30 (Reuters) - PeopleSoft Inc said on Wednesday it has promoted Alfred Castino to the post of chief financial officer. PeopleSoft, a developer of enterprise application software, also named Ronald Codd as chief executive officer of Momentum Business Applications Inc. Codd had been the PeopleSoft's CFO since he joined the company in 1991. Momentum is a research and development company formed by PeopleSoft to develop e-business, analytic applications and industry specific software products. All of Momentum's class A common stock will be distributed to PeopleSoft's stockholders of record as of December 31, 1998, and Momentum will be an independent publicly traded company. Castino joined PeopleSoft in September 1997 as vice-president of finance and corporate controller. In October 1998, he was promoted to senior vice president administration and finance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
