Show me proof, I don't believe that this is true. That is not the way cookies work.

I can't show you proof.

I wouldn't know how.

I just know that my ISP recommends turning of the cookie capture thingy if you are concerned about security (people being able to put stuff on your hard drive)

The ping of death is familiar, but he also said there is a way to send you a small program in the background without the receiver noticing other than the click click cliking of the hard drive.

Another way I have been burnt is on IRC using MIRC someone sends you a script file and takes over.

They got me once.
