Kash,

Thanks for your warm welcome, indeed. I have been busy making money and among many other things. There is life other than SI.

There is no doubt if AMD can execute K6-3 and K7 smoothly, AMD can make a lot of money. If not, the history is going to repeat itself. Do you know if K6-3 or K7 utilizes new technology? If yes, are you beginning to sweat? I would.

At the beginning of this year, Intel represented 75% of my capital. When the market collapsed twice this year, I managed to load up a lot of cheap stocks on margin and unload stocks to get out of margin and to diversify my investment when the market recovered. My Intel shares thus got trimmed. However, I have still done very well with the Intel and AMD mix.

National Semidisaster is another story. Several years ago, the first stock I invested in was NSM. I bought it at $7. It went down to $3 in a week. Although the amount was small, it had a big psychology effect on me. I had not touched NSM since after bailing out a few months later. What a disaster that was!.
