I cannot find any predictions that SEEK will be a buyer. The snip below predicts some portals will be forced to consolidate.
Will you please post the article you refer to? TIA

If it does, that will add one more to the list of goliaths, including Yahoo! and AOL, whose very existence puts pressure on smaller firms like Lycos Inc. (Nasdaq:LCOS - news), Excite Inc.
(Nasdaq:XCIT - news) and Infoseek (Nasdaq:SEEK - news), who Gens thinks will be forced to combine, probably with each other.

I just read on the AP that 99 will be the year of consolidation on the internet!! They predicted that maybe Seek will buy Lycos, yahoo will merge with a major media company,Msft will buy a portal soo as it all goes the Blue Chips will have tighter margins and money will continue to pour into them from all over the world!! Ignore Faber and Cramer when they get on their high horses and invest withyour own
DD!! We r in the early stages of a REVOLUTION and only those who stick with the BLUE CHIPS long term will be the WEALTH BUILDERS!!!Happy New
Year!!!
