The infrastructure costs money to maintain, it's true...
but the day is coming very soon when T will tell AOL it has to pay a toll, a large toll, to go over the highway. Or T will just stop maintaining it for them.
Because somebody has to pay for those infrastructure maintenance costs.
And that, my friend, is called "barrier to entry".
And the only people who own the infrastructure is the utility provider.
I should write Buffet....the people making the money in the internet gold mines are the REITs renting $2000 a month apartments to internet workers. AVB is selling at book value.
I did a back-of-the-envelope on what they would be worth if they turned their apartment buildings into condos. ROFL.
