a few years ago i came up with an idea and applied for a trademark.the name is what one is trying to protect and therefore the first thing to do is order a search to see whether it is available.if it is, one proceeds with a filing, details of the product and intended use, etc. once you have established the availability of the name the process to get it really is a formality and took about six months as i recall before i received official paperwork. The fact that they have filed tells me that they will get the trademark ripitsipit but i agree that the filing date is odd. happy new year to all tcbg longs.1999 will be our year!
