No , it doesn't make sense.
Maybe what you meant to say, was that you wouldn't be bothered if it went down 100 POINTS, not 100 percent.
Using your hypothetical example:
If you bought at 100 a share and it went to 600 that would be a 600% increase.
If it drops 100% it drops to zero.
If your profits drop 100% the stock would drop to 100.
If the stock dropped from 600 to 500 that would be about 17% drop.
