Well, Doroteo, thank you so much for that wealth of information! I know a bit about Red's, prefer St Emillion...had a nice 75 that dad gave me which I am saving,and was once was served a Roumanee Conte at a dinner party...too heavy for my taste..but every one else was in heaven. This was so unusual, I just has to ask about it..it's brighter and deeper in color than a normal white, or so far as I can tell from the bottle. This couple does know a lot about fine wine, I know he has a wine cellar, but she is really the good friend. Perhaps, then I should offer it to my father, who probably would appreciate it more than I will..though I have printed out your message so he can read it as well.. Thank you again so much..I like you want people to really enjoy gifts...and I feel a bit guilty about being offered such a fine wine I knew so little about! (but you'll notice on the New Years Thread I'm giving up guilt in 99!) Happy New Year, and thank you again.. I really appreciate the lesson! Cat
