Facts are facts, rumors are rumors, hearsay is hearsay, guesses are guesses and opinions are opinions. I for one am of the opinion that CCUR will be the dominate player in IVOD over the next few years. My guess is that this will mean a significantly higher stock price. Although there are many facts that lead one to believe these statements, in the end they are opinions or guesses until the events materialize (however confident we may be). While the winning of contracts or signing of deals has been rumored along with the sale of real time or the sale of the entire company, they have only been rumors (although the SFA and TWX rumors have occured).

We can discuss these rumors of takeovers and the like. Argue about why it would or wouldn't make sense or who the buyer might be or their motivations, but nobody really knows beyond CCUR and the buyer (I am sure if that is not the case, the stock will rise quite rapidly upon a legitimate deal) And lastly, there is hearsay. Information that is heard from industry players, reporters or analysts. This includes infromation on who is doing what and when. Who is better and who is cheaper. This is about the competition and how CCUR stacks up. This information has to be taken with a grain of salt, but it gains credibility when other events occur that prove the information or opinion to be correct. For CCUR, those events have been their deal with SFA, their agreements with GIC and Pioneer and their selection by both Time Warner and Intertainer. These factual events have backed up much of the positive opinions about CCUR's technology and their future. I feel very confident that events in the coming year will continue to support the view that CCUR will be a dominate force in VOD, and not just in cable, but in the intranet market and hospitality.

Speaking of hospitality, did anyone notice that On Command is getting a new top cheese? I wonder if the new cheese, Mr. Steele is married to using Mitsubishi's optical disc VOD server or wether CCUR may slide into postion. Secondarily, can they get the financing in place to build out the new digital platform in cities across the country. It would be nice to see the ONCO deal come back to life just as so many other things are starting to happen. Funny how significant getting ONCO was at the begining of this year. Now, it would be just one more deal to add to what looks to be an exciting 1999 and an interesting Q1. Good luck.

I think your right. The real story is I hope companies I invest in don't worry about the chat boards. If the fundamentals are good the stock price will tale care of itsself.
