Larry, am I reading this incorrectly?
I read ... that if you own this company today (is just today nescessary?) you are entitled to the distribution shares of the new company?
I hold some long, but would day trade a s**tload of it, if this were true.
can you give any input?

PeopleSoft sets record date for spin-off

PLEASANTON, Calif., Dec. 31 (Reuters) - PeopleSoft Inc on late Wednesday set Dec.
31 as the record date for the planned distribution of shares in Momentum Business
Applications Inc to PeopleSoft stockholders.

Stockholders of record on that date will receive one Momentum Class A share for every 50 shares of PeopleSoft common owned. Certificates will be mailed on or about Jan. 15, 1999.

Momentum was formed by PeopleSoft for research and development in areas of e-business and other industry-specific software. The company expects its shares to trade under the symbol MMTM on the Nasdaq stock market.

PeopleSoft is a global supplier of enterprise application software for business and government.
