CARVD (CARV.COM) e-tailer check this out: To bring it to the threads attention for your own evaluation, I do not have a position it in (had one though). Was traded as CARV, but recently announced 25:1 reverse split (ouch) in early Dec made me shy away. However what is interesting and what could make this one fly is that the total outstanding float is only 188,135 currently (post split). Yesterday it was +6 on volume of 14800. The company has totally redesigned and reworked its web site, and I have to say its much better than it was, they sell gen-x sportwear and other sports items. With all the movements on GIII/AAGP/GEND/et al this one could be a sleeper since it fits the current formula of e-tail/small float. Mr. Luke, and everyone else on this thread, thank you for making this a great thread, I think I will be able to get back up to "zero" in my portfolio again. I hope this mention of CARVD will be profitable to someone...I would jump in but am tapped out right now. Sorry for the long post here is the lastest news on CARVD: SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 1998--Frank Drechsler, president of CARV.com Inc., is pleased to announce that the board of directors has approved a 1 for 25 reverse stock split effective immediately. CARV.com will be trading under the symbol "CARVD" on NASDAQ OTCBB for the next 30 days. "This was a good move by the board on behalf of our shareholders because it allows increased retail support by the brokerage community," said Drechsler. "As of Dec. 11, 1998, there were 9,542,889 shares, 49% of these shares or 4,703,381 are free trading and 51% or 4,839,508 are restricted. Post reverse there will be a total of 381,715 issued and outstanding with 188,135 being free trading and 193,580 restricted." Drechsler became president of CARV.com on Oct. 27, 1998. He has already overseen the re-org of Gellis Inc. (d.b.a. Pure Juice), a corporate change of domicile, name change, re-tooled CARV's existing web sites (www.carv.com and www.skatesurfsnow.com) and created new web sites (www.Xsportnews.com and www.skatemuseum.com), links and e-commerce traffic. Drechsler said, "The house cleaning is now done and we are looking forward to significant sales growth and our first profitable year in 1999."
