Appears to be headline hyperbole, the actual amount
is $10.3 million dollars.

John Park, an independent trader, apparently bought
9,000 bund contracts at LIFFE but only had margin enough to
the losses on 940 contracts. Oops, somebody at his
clearing firm, Griffin Trading, wasn't minding the
store I'd guess. LIFFE will sort this out eventually and
a few undercapitalized firms may go under.
