Ok, perhaps that will be food for thought for them. But I fail to see the value in saying he is dead WRONG - as Wrong as he can be. I wouldn't say that to you.

I think many of us agree with your overall point of view on high tech generally. It isn't that we disagree about the importance of high tech in our lives or our economy. It isn't that we disagree that the future will bring continuing tremendous change and improvement in the quality of our lives.

Many of us have portfolios with significant long positions in the market and in high tech. Many have careers in high tech. MB's recent IFC article I believe had 16 long recommendations and 10 short.

The real thrust of the thread is value investing. We may agree on many things but still come back to our sense of value investing. If that is wrong, in your opinion, you are welcome to that. Again, that's what makes for a market. Also, I think that several people on MB's thread and all over SI, are trying to learn as well as share. Investing is a life-long pursuit. So people that you might not think suited to a thread might just be testing their wings. They might not adopt the ideas in the end, and that is great too. Coby for example, does very little of what is espoused on the thread. But she is learning about options. A good subject to know about even if she never trades a single contract.

>>I just don't think that CB and Skeeter are really suited for
your (and MB's) investment style.<<

mary, i asked you before in the pm and i'll ask again, why? what is your supporting data. leave coby off. let's talk about me. what supporting evidence leads you to believe this to be true?

it wouldn't be a personal attack based upon a personality conflict you perceive, would it?
