Your post brings back old memories. I took a class in Dada in college, well it was art, history, literature, music, etc. of the time period, I was in Honors program so they had these types of classes. For the final project, I spent weeks translating a German concrete poet into English, can't remember his name, and I got an "A", but one dude tied a 22 long cartridge to a naked branch stuck in a flowerpot ("Cartridge in a Bear Tree," it was Christmas-time when final projects were due) and he got an "A" too. We all got "A"s.

I read your post again, Oh Yeah, it was Tristan Tzara that I translated. The professor did tell me I could turn it into a master's thesis project. I used to get that a lot.<g> Sometimes I wish I'd listened.
