This EURO thing is going to be a spark for the European markets in early January -- I have a feeling it will carry over to the US. This is in addition to the general "good feeling" about the big American tech stocks.

Put in an order to buy a bunch of Jan 140s for under 4 dollars. No luck so far although it did hit 4. Hoping for some big stock sellers to drive MSFT price down (only for today) - a dollar or so.

Read WRONG! Street.com column by Cramer. He made an interesting point in his "random musings". The addition of AOL to S P 500 could cause selling in some big names.

What is a bigger name than Microsoft in the S and P 500. (i think it has gone past GE a while ago). Could explain some of the selling this week.

Yeah, maybe I got a little carried away, but I am just tired of hearing how individual investors are idiots and the internet stocks have to fall. i knew about ebay from an early stage, and i know personally that there are a ton of other good ideas/ companies coming. it is just the one that people locked onto in this timeframe (ie, last 6 months) along with a few others. the point is that this internet thing is for real, changing, and moving. compare it with the bowling boom in the 1960s -- gimme a break; that was a single sport that a certain group of people played. compare it with radio in the 1920s -- that is a little closer, but that was one way media, and there were a few big winners.

don't get me wrong. i don't own ebay. i have a very small percentage of my portfolio in net stocks. but i do own yahoo and aol, and intend to hold those for 5 to 10 years. can you say brand name? and i own csco, msft, and intc. i like wcom A LOT too. and i think that msft, with its ownership of the OS and 17 BILLION in the bank is in a prime position to be THE net company.

and i like CNBC... i'm just sick of being "told" by experts that all the individual investors making their own choices are screwed up.
