Keep supporting lying, oath breaking, marriage vow smashing, and porno kings. Going to make some great campaign adds in a couple of years.

The Senatorial Search for a Censure of Clinton nytimes.com

The other article from the dreaded mainstream media today. A lot of thrashing around on all fronts. No predictions here.

I think that Lott will be over-ruled by the RR and we will have a full-fledged Senate trial...

The Republicans seem to have gotten themselves into the political equivalent of a "short squeeze" here. If they abandon the efforts to oust the President now, they stand to lose the support of their whackos. (And that's very vital for them because that is all they have with them now -- the rabid Clinton-haters and the frenzied anti-abortion crowd, with the "middle of the roaders" having little or no reason to associate themselves with the GOP anymore...)

On the other hand, if they continue their efforts, they are almost certain to lose the trial and pay a much higher price at the end.

The year 1999 promises to be an entertaining one, for sure!
