That is basically it. You can play with type of MA. Or the using of close, typical or median price. I think a past issue of Futures mag addresses the use of it, a few years ago.

Just happened to look at the Equis site and they release a patch for MS 6.5 EOD. It can be had here: equis.com.

I haven't applied it yet as it is still downloading so I am not sure what has been changed/fixed yet.

Here's a really basic question, but one that seems probably important to a lot of people (including me). Can some of the gurus here give an opinion on when it would be advisable to use *standard* as opposed to *exponential* moving averages.

I noticed that Optim gave his formula using standard moving averages... Well, when 'should' one be used versus the other????
