Steven is more correct. Manning rules require that a market maker display your bid within 30 seconds within their bid or route you to an ECN to display your bid. There are exceptions and one is fora sizeable order as well as non=applicable securities. My suggestion...go to nasdaqtrader.com or www.nasd.com and search for manning rules...order handling rules..etc. call the broker who worked it and ask why the bid was not displayed.
