I keep reading that the new Intel chips will be frequency locked but I'll believe it when I see it. If so...Intel's old Celeron inventory would be wiped out in a flash. Nice way to clear inventory.
Even if it's not, a Celeron 366 (5.5x 66) and 400 (4x100) won't be nearly as overclockable. I suppose you could run the 366 at 5.5 x 75 or 5.5 x 83 or a 400 at 4 x 112 but the prices for these chips won't make them nearly as attractive as the 300A.
I see no reason why AMD would want to freq. lock. You're lucky to get one more speed grade by overclocking, maybe 2 with the CXT core...
Rather concern themselves with this AMD should get on the K6-2-450 ASAP...
