I hope you are wrong about the Badgers. Do you think that UCLA's run defense can hold back Bucky? They couldn't do it against Texas A & M.

Is UCLA playing?????

If so, you know who I have to root for. <g>

OT: Rose Bowl

Hi Jim:

Wisconsin will have serious trouble with McNown, as they did with Brees who set an NCAA passing record for Purdue. Wisconsin barely won, mainly because of turnovers, and the only time all year I've seen Samuels run the option well. Those two Freshman corners are otherwise pretty good, but McNown could burn them.

Dayne is not at 100% (ankles/shoulder) and UCLA need only prepare for a one-dimensional, one back running offense. On the other hand, UCLA has been lucky this year and is as overrated as Wisconsin. Its defense is porous.

UCLA is disappointed at having to be anywhere but the Fiesta bowl, and just as KC was miffed that it didn't get a major bowl bid (and almost got blown out by Purdue until the 4th quarter), maybe attitude will work against them.

This could be an interesting game, maybe even high-scoring, which Wisconsin could win if it stays close throughout.

I see spiffy just hit 3 and then off a tick. If we close at 3, I pick Wisconsin.

Happy New Year.
