halfscot,

The BH6 BIOS does show fan speed measurements if your fan is equipped to provide tachometer readings (note: the fan must also be wired to the actual motherboard and not to the power supply connections).

Now that I've installed the program it's obvious it just takes the info from either the BIOS or the same ports as the BIOS to get M/B temp and fan speed. It's nice having it on the desktop w/out having to go into the BIOS though. As stated before I doubt the accuracy of the readings. Why isn't there a provision for monitoring the case fan speed? Maybe the BH6 doesn't support this option. I notice the BIOS doesn't show the case fan speed either.

CPU cooling software info can be found at the following link(Waterfall, CPUIdle, Rain).

heatsink-guide.com

Question: Do you have any knowledge of CPU cooling through software means only? I once downloaded a program that supposedly cooled the CPU in this fashion but had no way to validate the results.

PS - If your really feeling adventurous, you could always use actual H20. :o)

Happy New Year,
Nick

The BH6 has two atx fan connectors and can monitor both of their RPM.
in MBM they show up as Fan 1 and Fan 3. Dunno Why....

Don't waste your time.... the only way to cool your CPU is to slow is down with NOP's.... not a good idea. This stuff is snakeoil....
