the fact that many employees will exercise immediately after their stock options vest

Do you know when the bulk of this will begin?

I knew I should have kept my food off the ground before setting up camp....

heyahh bear!!...shoo...shooo.....arrrgggg....shooo!!

Starting to look like Yellowstone Park during the salmon run around here :).

Amein,

A bear trap is when the market declines (from low volume selling) only to resume it's upward momentum suddenly and ferociously!!

It'll be the identical scenario described here by the bears, except it will be THEIR furry butts trying to squueeeezzzzzze through the door at the same time.

Gotta love the bears, though, because if it weren't for them we would never have gotten here in the first place...

They just don't seem to realize that the nets WILL NOT be coming down until there is legitimate reason for them to, something other than a bubble that is too big.

<<< Another more appropriate analogy is the fact that many employees will exercise immediately after their stock options vest >>>>

I doubt if the operative word "many" is true. "Few" do - especially if there is a lifestyle change involved. But that may be a portion. Why would employees exercise all and incur a) withholding taxes b) margins c) commissions ?

What motivations would most employees have to exercise ? Especially when the trend is upwards. Companies are obliged to reward employees for retention strategies - even go to the lengths of repricing.

We talk from personal experience.
