ok tip try this out for size a quiz:

1. what major index was up the most in 1998
2. what are the five top market capitalization stocks in that index.
3. what is top serpent-on-the-rock analyst just on cnbs picks for 1999.

without looking it up, i believe that the answers to number two and three are the same.

i think pru wants to unseat gruntal as being the momo geeks of the street.

another one mr. conspiracy theorist. have you seen all of these increased margin requirement posts:

Now the straight forward thing would be to believe that these brokers just believed excess risk imperiled their margin loans. But a top conspiracy theorist such as yourself would say that the call came from the federal reserve to the effect that either you do such and such or we'll do....???
