RE:One must remember this is far from a static business, as Bill G has stated on numerous times. Unless MS rachets-up their quality they are extremely vulnerable in this overly dynamic business. Michael, MSFT is vulnerable and that is what they keep trying to stress to the government. We agree more than we disagree. RE:I reference Senator Patrick Monahan's excellent book "Secrecy" in which he concludes that completely closed systems are for "losers" that need to hide something. Sure, but you have to protect your intellectual property. Windows is as open as Sun's OS or IBM's OS etc. Why didn't they create a single Unix standard? Because SUN, IBM, and HP were not interested. There is more money to be made keeping them separate. Dale
