Funny you should mention that -- I have gotten filled that way many a time myself. If the bid is reasonable let it sit for a little while then cancel it.

I in fact thought about doing just that. Next time I will do it on purpose--that is, place a reasonable order and cancel it if it looks like games are bieng played. And then go to a market order.

I wonder if that would have worked on some of the Canadian OTC stocks I have had similar problems with.
