Brady, you should also read the rebuttal to the rebuttal:

techstocks.com

There's really no way anybody can construct a good argument that floorless convertables are not very bad for a stock. At least not with mathematics. :)

And the record bears this out.

Now, I dunno if the company is issuing this type of instrument or not. But, if they are, you just can't argue that it isn't bad - though I'm sure that certain people will, for months to come, while the price continues to sink.

Brady and Jon,

I don't know if ZULU/ESVS is launching a floorless convertible, but if they are then the small investor who is long this stock will lose because that game is not to enhance shareholder value but rather to enhance the pocketbook of those who hold this type of preferred stock.

I posted Zeev's thoughts before the latest PR's because I got the feeling that this could or has happened. Just a feeling, no knowledge. Don't ask me for proof because I don't have any.

Brady, the rebuttal to the rebuttal is good and yes there are always two sides to every story. But, the point is not who can debate this issue, but rather is this type of manuevering being set into place with ZULU/ESVS. Read Zeev's thoughts on this type of deal and see if you think there are parallels in ZULU/ESVS with regard to the new 8KA.

What is this new "Investors Preferred" all about. What are any of the Preferred's all about. Prices are not mentioned explicitly.

One day before the 8kA came out, I spoke with a rep from Sitrick about the merger and the purchase of BRL. I came away from that conversation thinking that a new Internet company was close at hand. Then the next day this new language appeared.

I don't know, it seems there is always something undefined, something not quite clear, something always in a state of flux, etc.

One thing is for sure, the stock price of ZULU is off it's high at a great percentage. It is the AGE OF THE INTERNETS and ZULU is at $.16 or whatever.

Time will surely tell, I am waiting.

Charles

PS: Happy New Year

Brady, nice work formulating the two sides to the coin rebuttal on shorting. Dr. JoeDoom certainly does paint a different picture. And, yes, that does seem an interesting SI thread.

So Charles Dallas, having examined both accounts, since you brought all of this up, somewhat to support JT's theory, what do you think of the good doc's response, which Brady brought up.

[NOTE: Charles, as I continued to read up the thread, I noted you answered the above in a subsequent post. I, therefore, withdraw the above question. Thank you.]

PS to Brady: I understand your trading theory relative to the reverse. You may well not be all over the board, but could perhaps be moving the pieces nicely. Good luck on your strategy, but now you need be evermore vigilant so as not to come in after fireworks, should an upward explosion occur.
