LurkyLoo - I think there is a part of us all that want someone else to do the research and then to let us decide what action to take.....I know I do. There are a few around whose recommendation and research I will purchase on without a second thought, but those people are few anymore. As long as we can keep a solid group here and as long as we can all keep others on track and away from the "anything goes" attitudes of other boards, I think we can create that investment community that I was speaking of in that post. In this community, when one person posts his research and findings with a particular issue, you can bank of the objectivity and truthfulness of the post, and make your investment decision knowing that the information is factual. This is, ulitmately, what I hope to create. Instead of having 3 to 4 people that I follow on different boards and services, I want to see one thread with 100, or 1000 trustworthy people who are willing to succeed and fail as a group. That way, all posts are informative, to the point, factual, and without hype. We don't need to give minute-by-minute updates, and "buy more now" posts, that clog other boards and are time consuming.

Level II quotes would be helpful if I made my money exclusively from day trading in its truest form, trading the same stock maybe 10-20 times in the same day ...... But honestly, to me, that becomes a job and would quickly become "unfun". You will do well at what you enjoy. That statement has been one of my personal rules for a long time now. I, no doubt, will get level II at some point but I have said that for some time now. I allow my instinct, my gut, the market direction, sentiment, and price action determine my moves .... then I balance them against my goals for a particular trade and try to keep greed in check. Level II is a helpful tool but I don't want people to think that you MUST have it to do well. If it was a MUST have, I would have it, plain and simple.

Where do I find the time? Wherever I can. I try to balance it all. I want to make even more of a commitment to this thread but also need to balance the family life as well. It may be tough to do, but the nice thing is that you can always take a break from the markets and it is only open for 6 1/2 hours a day. There is always another play or another value regardless of whether you take 1 day off, or 2 weeks. I want to see this forum and community grow .... to see what it transforms into. Perhaps we are just fooling ourselves if we think we can keep control of the thread and keep everyone focused.....but I don't think so. I think it can be done and the only result I can foresee is everyone prospering. We will see.

Congrats on your trading record, you have done well and I see no reason why it should not continue. Keep that greed behind you and always learn.

Happy New Year to you as well.

Trade well.
