This Gallup poll indicates that a lot of money will be pulled out of circulation, and whether the government prints more or not, I feel the mere fact of withdrawal will be disruptive to the markets. The media is abuzz (USA Today, etc) about the NSF-USA Today national survey on Y2K conducted by the Gallup organization. Here are the interesting facts in the below NSF Press Release or raw data (I also went to the raw data where the "Yes" answers were most interesting): 6. It is a nationwide telephone poll, released by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and USA Today. They surveyed 1,032 adults between December 9 and 13.
