Alien, BoNg, Dave, Dave, John, Judy, Leland, Scott, Sue, Thomas, Tom, Walter and the rest of the gang,

When I tell people what it is I do for a living, the third question (The first, "So you're a broker?", the second, "What should I buy?") that they invariably ask is..."Doesn't it get lonely staring at a computer all day?"

I'll tell them certainly not. I have a group of friends that I work with, and play with, and argue with, and spend time with everyday...just like any other job. When they realize that I'm talking about a group of people that I've never met, you can tell they think the whole thing is more than a little weird.

I guess you've got to be there.

And I'm glad we are.

Happy New Year everyone.

Jay

>>I missed out on most of the gains on the ones I liked, I 'thought' my price targets were 50 for jbl, 60 for flex, 52 for neta, 45 for erts 60 for emc 50 for c, 48 for sunw, <<

We all do that, I think. I also sold sunw at 48, by coincidence, right after the earnings, and I also sold MCI, which was my surrogate for WCOM. But there may be the first glimmerings of the development of an instinct for survival, because I got back into sunw, wcom, and lately tcoma, which I'd also sold because "it met my price targets".

I've just had too many opportunity losses on stocks that "met my targets."
