Intel Thread: Margaret, Sonny, Sonki, Ann, Frank, Eliz2, Tony, Billwot, Yaacov, and all (sorry for the post-celebration lapse) HAPPY NEW YEAR to the faithful. Btw, if anyone is interested in reading an excellent biography of one of the most fascinating figures of the 20th century I strongly recommend: Isaiah Berlin, a life, by Michael Ignatief; born in 1909 in Latvia in 1909, event. moved to London @ age 9,recognized as one of the great thinkers, philosophers/statesmen of Britain, had a who's who list of friends/associates over 60 yrs.from T.S. Elliot, Freud, Akhmatova, Toscanini, Shastokovic, Pasternak to Churchill, Gertrude Stein, Truman, Kennan, JFK & Jackie, others to numerous to mention. His constant belief in achieving and enjoying HAPPINESS says it all for me. We should all be thankful for the happiness in our lives, (the past year market helps, but love of family and friends surely trumps all else); Anyway, our niece last night went into labor, and as we celebrated the New Year with my sister, b-in-law and their 1st grandchild, Rebecca, 2 1/2, & simply the best, her baby brother was on the way. This A.M. Gabriel became a new year's baby, born into this world @ 1:15 a.m. Mother and son are fine. (just missed the tax deduction, but what the hey,gg).
