Don't expect AOL in the DOW any time soon. All the DOW stocks pay a dividend, it's not a requirement but all the DOW stocks do. Woolworth's (Z) now Venitor (Z) suspended their dividend and they were replaced in the 30. When companies start paying a dividend it's a sign that management doesn't know what else to do with the money. I would rather see them retain the earnings to grow the company.
