Big Pharma Report: 1/01/99 - The Big Pharma Index gained a resounding 49.8% in 1998 as compared to the Dow (+16.1%) , S&P (+26.6%) and NASTie (+39.7%). - Every one of the "Healthy 13" recorded gains over 27% ...all beating the S&P Index - AMGN (+93.2%) was the surprise Big Pharma champion. WLA (+81.6%) edged out SGP (+77.9%) on the last two days of the year. -PFE (+67.6%) closed strong in anticipation of the Celebrex approval..
