Most fun I've had working -- nobody else here -- getting more done in a few hours than I usually get done in a full day ...

I know, I know, that 2000 may be, technically, the last year of the millenium, but IMHO that's just for spoilsports and bores. It really should be considered the first year of the new millenium. After all, when you turned 20, did you feel like you were still in your teens, or like you started a new decade?
