That's POWERFUL STUFF!!! Thanks for that link Goldsnow. More history that I was previously unaware of. And there is no reason it can't happen again (God Forbid!) Something that people seem to forget is that if the global financial system is torn asunder, what replaces it (and how it gets replaced) will not be a simple or painless affair. There are many fears that personal possession of gold could be outlawed and peoples holding exchanged at a price set by the gov't. These are high stakes that are being played, and unfortunately the CB's hold many of the cards in the game. I don't believe the CB's will just roll over and permit gold to become competition for their Fiat money again. Regards, Ron
