Dear Paul,

Would appreciate your input in making a final decision on laptop:

After considerable research and deliberation, my current Ist choice is PCG 808 which has all the essential features I would need:

___________________________________________________________

CPU: 266 MHz pentium II
Memory: 64 mb (to be upgraded to 128) SDRAM with cache
HD: 4 gb
2x DVD Rom drive
Video: 2 mb
Active matrix; screen size: 13.1 inch
weights 5.9 lbs; less than 1 inch in thickness
Build-in speaker and mic
Battery life: 5 hours
___________________________________________________________

My second choice is the newly launched Dell Inspiron 3500 which are also light-weighted and competitively priced.

My question: did you experience any heat dissapation problem with your PCG? -- the Inspiron 7000s have been reported to have "heat" problems and 3500s are brand new from the assembly line.

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,
Ibexx
