I for one have found ports posts of great value. I hope to see him back here posting again. As for posts about competitors, well that is part of this discussion and evaluation. The entire discussion on Iridium revolves around there up and coming competitor Globalstar and who has the best technology and business model. Sun vs Wintel, Intel vs AMD, Dell vs Compaq, Amazon vs Barnes and Noble, Burger King vs Mickey D's, Coke Vs Pepsi, the Yankees vs the Red Sox. To understand one, you need to understand the others. There is value in knowing the competition. As for comments about the competition, I think we are close enough to the coming action that results will speak louder than guesses or opinions. Those who are or have been of the opinion that CCUR would be a player have been vindicated by the news and events of 1998. At this time last year, the debate was if CCUR even had a shot at breaking into IVOD and there was not one shred of evidence to point to that could prove they would be a player. Against that back drop, a number of people here predicted they would become a player in IVOD. Today, instead of guessing or arguing about if CCUR has a server or that they will be one of the players, we are now debating if they will be the DOMINANT company in VOD!! We've come a long way baby!
