Joey, <AMD didn't expect Intel to come out with celeron 400 so early>
You must be thinking very low about AMD
analytical abilities. For quite some time
EVERY IDIOT KNOWS that most Celerons ARE
if fact 450MHz parts. Only a total idiot
would not expect Intel to release these
grades as soon as inventory of obsolete
P-IIs are cleared out or the marked gets
flooded with K6-400 parts.

Joey,
AMD didn't get caught with their pants down. They are upping speed grades as fast as they can.

RE:" Simple. AMD didn't expect Intel to come out with celeron 400 so
early and so agressively."...

If anyone at AMD reads this thread they had to know Intel would up the release of the 400...they can't expect Intel to sit on their hands.
