Tony,

The net guy was something of a Yardeni loving fear-monger. CNBC gave him more time than they gave to Lou, the Gartner guy, whose explanations of what they, The Gartner Group, think will happen. Lou, more than once, explained that they have been doing serious testing and studying of the problem for quite a while and that his comments are based on that knowledge and experience. The Y2K guy often used anecdotal evidence as his knowledge base.

The overall picture I got of the problem from the show was biased towards the negative view of things to come. There will probably be a lot of fear that will rise to the surface some time this year and it will have its effect. On the other hand, certain companies will benefit because of the replacement demand stimulus that is already occurring.

After another nice rise, we will probably see some nice buying opportunites his year

Thank's for the heads up on the show. I was unconscious at 6 am so missed the first go around.
