I just received an e-mail from Jack Garnes! He indicated he missed being able to participate on the S.I. thread.

It doesn't appear that S.I. had any change of heart around this festive season he is still not able to contribute postings on S.I. I hope he got his money back from initially joining S.I.

As some of you are aware Jack was very active on the NYRR S.I. thread for some time. I viewed him as one of the thread leaders.

He usually was very outspoken and said what was on his mind in his postings ( I hope because he spoke his mind wasn't the main reason for him being removed from posting on S.I.?)

He basically called things the way he felt or saw them. It didn't necessarily mean he was right or wrong but he did have the attention of many posters and for the most part this thread was hopping with opinions of all varieties when Jack was posting.

Because were are starting a new year I thought it prudent that I pass on some opinions/feelings that Jack expressed in his e-mail--and partially because I feel that many are still very much aware of Jack and his varied views about NYRR!

So! Briefly here is how Jack is currently feeling about his NYRR Investment. Please do not use it to sway you one way or the other how you view your NYRR Investment--always do what you feel is right for you.

Jack was of the opinion that he was hoping that 1998 would have been a bettor year for NYRR.

At this time in Jack's opinion Jack still views NYRR as a Mom and Dad Business.

Jack also indicated that in his view he didn't see much happening with either the company and stock price in 1999. ( Keep in mind those are Jack's opinion.)

I was partially surprised at Jack's down mood comments towards NYRR!

The fact that MeatHead is now blind ( and it appeared that Meathead and Jack are very close friends)and Jack's frustration at not being able to post on the NYRR S.I. thread--as well as I sensed that overall 1998 was not a very happy year for Jack--thenthat could partially add to any frustration that he might be feeling towards NYRR! JMO!

So! That's it from Jack.

I don't want to disagree with Jack publically because I realize that he can't communicate via postings on the NYRR S.I. Thread--but I did want to pass on his feelings to this thread due to the countless hours of time and energy he invested here when he was allowed to post.

If anyone wants to debate jack's feelings with him I suggest you contact him via e-mail and I think he would be more then happy to hear from anyone on this thread.

Best Regards,

Wayne J.
