Oracle's Cooperative Application Initiative (CAI) Program Extends And Accelerates Business Solutions for the Enterprise PR Newswire - January 04, 1999 08:15 REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Oracle Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCL) today announced that its highly successful Cooperative Applications Initiative (CAI) program has delivered over 225 "best-in-class" solutions to the enterprise applications market. The CAI program provides tight integration of partners' vertical and horizontal applications with existing Oracle(R) Applications. CAI partner integration speeds implementation and extends the breadth of solutions for both intra- and inter-enterprise business functions to Oracle customers and prospects. CAI provides members with technical and marketing services to support the integration of their products with Oracle Applications and helps give customers a comprehensive set of best-in-class solutions to fit their business requirements. At the fall Oracle Applications Users Conference, Oracle presented Mincom, Inc. and Yantra Corporation with "CAI Partner Achievement Awards". The awards were given to Mincom Inc. and Yantra Corporation for their outstanding partnership commitment with Oracle. "Oracle CAI's Partner Achievement Award was based on several factors -- proven success of the CAI integration at customer sites, demonstrated commitment to common customers, proactive participation and contribution to the CAI program, and commitment to Oracle technology " said Hall. Yantra Corporation has proactively strengthened the entire CAI program through participation in API definition and validation and was the first CAI partner to achieve integration certification on both Release 10.7 and 11.0 within their business category. To qualify for the CAI program, a company must offer best-in-class vertical or horizontal applications that complement Oracle Applications and must agree to integrate their products with Oracle Applications. Once accepted into CAI, a member company works closely with Oracle to optimize the product integration and provide the resources needed to build and maintain the integration. Integrated solutions are then tested and reviewed by Oracle for approval. There are more than 180 partners in the CAI program.
