Happy new year, "old buddy"!! :))

I bought a designer bag with a pair of matching earings. I also found/bought an out-of-print video.

p.s. I bought a book from Amzn in Feb/March 98, a T/A book recommended by "pete" from the Asnd thread...(I am sure that you remember Pete). That's the only thing I bot from Amzn. Have an a/C with bks; used twice.

>What did you buy?

I bought some coins this week via the e-bay site and 4 different people. Much trust required to send a $150 to someone you don't know. One fellow had no track record so I didn't bid.

Actually, it's fun and there's no other place to buy coins like this except through a professional house where the margins are whatever.

Again, I'll say that the site is terrific, the process fun, and it's a great concept for re-sale. However it's not a $10 billion cap stock and competition is developing.

Regarding prices, here's an example of let the buyer beware: Bid item 1858 Indian Penny uncirculated: Advertised as the second of a hoard purchased in the 70's to be auctioned. There's an entire history around the coin which is richly told by the seller. He/she sold one for $2505 last month, or so they said. End of the story: I found the same coin at retail for $1575 from an on line dealer!

Imagine how the guy who paid $2505 feels.
