There is no evidence that false affidavits were solicited and submitted (under oath no less) and, in fact, there is testimony that no one asked her to lie and that no one promised her anything for her testimony. But what does that matter to anyone who is convinced Clinton should be turned out of office? The repeated allegation is just as good as the truth.

Come to think of it, a nation full of Linda Tripps, each one gathering information on their friends and coupled with unscrupulous zealous prosecuters, like Starr, is in the best tradition of the USSR and the KGB.
