LGND WAS up 67% since October, 'cat!
LGND was also down 9.7% for '98, while the S&P 500 was up 26.7% and the Amex Biotech Index (BTK) was up approximately 13% for the same time period....

mud, i wouldn't call 98 a disaster. i would call it a disappointment. however, many bios are down 75% as we speak from a year ago. lgnd is down 10% and definitely underperforming the market. this is a disappointment. maybe a big disappointment.

genzl is a disaster.

don't confuse the two or you risk insulting the genzl's of the world -ng-
