AOL 99: KING OR PAUPER? POLL update; 1/31/99 185; 1/1/00 349 And the hits keep coming. Five more entries gives us 32 to date since this poll began a few days ago. That doesn't include some of you bulls and hyper-bears out there in cyberland. Wise men and women, indeed. Others of us just have too much time on their hands :-) They include Ted Downs, John Brinley, James Fulop, Gregory Mullineaux, james d brady and chalu2. chalu2 is easily the most bearish of the six with a target of 145 for Jan. 31. AOL is currently at 155 1/4. His Jan. 1, 200 guess is an underwhelming 185. That prediction is surpassed -- or underpassed -- by Art Stone's bone-chilling estimate of 37. Conversely, Ted is on the upside, looking for 195 by Jan. 31 and 245 at year's end. The Jan. 1, 2000 prediction average continues to slide, now down to 349. Early in the week, when AOL ramped huge, the average was near 400.
