Hey, I think the 180-ish's have it! there are 8 of us who believe it will be in this range come 1/31/99

BTW, I watched Nightly Business Report this evening. They had a segment on Internet stocks. Two young guests were being interviewed by Scott Gurvey. Only one stock pick came out of the interview: AOL !

Can't get a transcript of this show yet, but later I'll get one and post the interview on here.

Sell AOL on Monday, 4 Jan?
On Thursday, I watched CNBC to actually experience AOL's induction into the S&P 500. I was concerned that AOL traded lower most of the day until the last half an hour, when the index fund managers descended upon the AOL desk.Because my inititial investment in AOL is up over 400%, I am concerned about taking profit and purchasing more WMT, JNJ or HD to protect against a downturn in the economy. On the other hand, I would have to pay about %40 in federal and state taxes on the capital gains. It seems folly to lose so much in taxes to invest in stocks with lower (albeit more predictable) growth potential.
Comments? I would appreciate reports of comments of analists (e.g., CNBC) on AOL because AOL is viewed as a "momentum" (versus value) investment.

ps: I see big problems for YHOO and AMZN (after the split) because of all the negative comments from analysts on "obscene valuations" and articles on topics like "Internet Tulipomania."
