Exactly where did Reno say that? I want proof. Please link to a reputable site that has a quote for that. We have Christian broadcasting stations in our area that claim the books on sexual education in our school district were written with data from child molesters, that airline security has something to do with the mark of the beast as do upc codes, and much much more. I do not know of any Christians being politically pressured to "shut up" except in places where there is a separation of church and state where everyone, of every religious view, is obliged to hold their peace.

I do know of local school boards taken over by religious groups- banning books and trying to enforce rules favoring their religion. I have not heard stories of large bands of atheists or humanists doing this- they don't group well.

Bob,

Has the government actually taken any steps to shut Christians up? Steps like, for example, cracking down on the Christian broadcasting networks that regularly violate their tax-exempt status by broadcasting partisan political content? You would think that if stifling the Christian message was really high on the Attorney General's agenda, that would be among her first moves.

<Janet Reno has said publicly that anyone with a strong belief in the bible and the second coming of Jesus Christ is a potential threat to
the state.>

I also would like to see Janet Reno's exact comment along these lines, Bob. I do happen to think that there are quite a few people with a strong belief in the Bible and the second coming who are potential threats to the state, at least from the number of scary web sites I have seen, the involvement of the Christian right militia movement in crimes against the state, and the murders of doctors who perform abortions.

Of course, that certainly doesn't mean that ALL Christians are dangerous, any more than you could generalize about any group of people with a common belief system.

Incidentally, I don't believe you have provided the Bible quotations which say that born again Christians are the only true Christians, either. I have asked you at least twice.
