I don't totally follow your radio and Internet analogy. From a business interest standpoint, radio is mainly an advertising medium--that is where the money is made. The Internet is both an advertising medium and a business tool for commerce between businesses. This automation will be the next great wave of productivity.

Tell you what. I'll go long on the companies I think are going to last over the next decade. I'll hold. You on the other hand, should try to time the market--decide when to jump in and out. Short stocks when appropriate, day trade, etc. Then lets see which one of us is better off at the end of the 10 years.

RCA $700 a share in 1929? What are you saying here? We are on the verge of a depression? Are you adding that to your Internet selloff prediction? $700 in 1929 dollars is how much in 1999 dollars? I think we may have quite a way to go before that happens. Again, I'll rest optimistic. I'm not likely to be sorry next week or any other week thereafter. Shorters depend upon negativity and bad vibes in the air. You only win when I lose confidence and sell my shares or I have not done my homework and am invested in a bad company.
