It is quite easy to sit in judgment .I guess you must hate JFK..and most powerful men(but you must love Gates).these people are doing him a great favor..I view him as a child of an alcoholic who has typical acting out symptoms(in this case sexually acting out)..supposedly a 1/4 of the population come from disfunctional families..but I am certain that doesn't stir any compassion in you..(ps I think he has always wanted to be caught--to finally be relieved of all his early childhood anxiety and buried fears) also in the late sixties,if you had money or brains-it would seem that the norm was to try to go to higher education to avoid the draft..have never seen the numbers but I am certain the rise in going to graduate school would be statistically significant--I even knew people who migrated to Canada because they didn't believe in the war.. decent brilliant people.. I would also like to see the divorce rate..I think Hillary and Bill beat that one.. it is not your problem.. A friend asked me how many men would have extramarital affairs if given a chance..what is your guess? When I was in Fiji I couldn't believe how many "love children" were there..it was tacitly accepted..although a lot of men bragged about them..men and women in high places..a very high placed man was a "love child"..big deal.. I guess you must think most of them are scoundrels and predators? I heard a story that I think is true Chelsea was sick when younger while her father was president..The teacher asked if she should call her mother..Chelsea supposedly said no,her mother was busy...that they better call her father.. I worked with many children and only a tiny proportion I think would have said to call the father :-)
