I am suspecting that to get these prices would require about ten different vendors. I need to figure out the best way to patch the orders together.

One way to go is to get it all at one place. If you have been following the thread I am sure you know that Minotaur minotaur.com is the current favorite option for this route. He has a rather large selection of components. Reports on this thread indicated Jon of Minotaur will work with you..Clarence had a mobo shipped to him to install in his machine as it was not stocked by Minotaur.

If you opt to break the order and put it together yourself check out Mushkin mushkin.com for ABIT Celeron Samsung bundles. I just looked and they are offering free shipping on the bundles. I do not know if they test the Celerons..Jon of Minotaur does for $20 extra.

For hardrives try Tjt tjt.com and Dirt Cheap Drives dirtcheapdrives.com

As far as the hybrid trade machine gamer I think your biggest issue is the video cards. There are a lot of options and I do not understand them all. Matched Matrox cards for the NT dual monitor machine are probably your best bet. Pae got himself in trouble on this issue and ended up with a Win98 machine because of it.

Sean has addressed the game video card..I do not quite understand how it all works together..A pair of Matrox video cards for NT and an add on 3D?? Make sure you add up the PCI slots to see if you have enough.

Why beta NT?

My argument was not against the LS120...it was for a floppy. You should have some way to get files off your computer. I think a JAZ is the best way to go but costs more. I do not like giving up one of the 4 IDE slots to LS120. IDEs are better left for harddrives and CDROMs.

256 MB RAM is a lot. You would probably do quite well with 128. Just a semi educated guess. I do not know the RAM requirements of game machines. Gamers are one of the driving forces for high end machines. Do they need speed or RAM?
